Understanding Travel Seasons

Greetings, Wanderers! Have you ever came across a site, blog post, or perhaps people talking about travel seasons? Were you a bit lost? Don’t worry, I’ve crafted a short and sweet guide to understanding travel seasons for you to enjoy.

Peak Season

The height of the year! These are going to be the must-see places at the must-see times. Think summer time (June-September for us here in the USA), school breaks, and holidays. Since everyone is traveling, you can expect higher prices, ideal weather, and more crowds.

Shoulder Season

Think the middle ground: April-May, September-October. These time frames can include some great weather, but you also might experience a few not-ideal days. Travel is starting to pick up, but not everyone has officially headed out in spring, and in fall you have back to school. You might run into a few businesses closed for the season or low on staff (location depending). The perk of traveling during this time is that you should have fewer crowds, better pricing, and decent weather.

Off Season

Deserted, deserted. These months provide the less than favorable weather: winter or perhaps rainy seasons depending on the location. The drawl here is that this brings lower prices and the least amount of crowds.

No matter the time of year you are looking to travel, Clemente Travels is here to provide a stress-free vacation experience. Not sure where to go? Schedule a 1:1 complimentary consultation where we can collaborate on where might be the best place for you when you are looking.
